Blows my mind that you have so few views. Great channel. To me, these kinds of visuals are perfectly balanced with maps and non intrusive images. Plus you don't go into boring micromanaged battles details like the other channels, as if anyone knew how the fights actually went.
Indications are that Mecca did not exist for quite a long time and it was NOT on the trade routes because it had no water, and was out of the way up on some plateau that would require effort to climb up to travel there. This according to Dr. Jay Smith. Mecca is mentioned in the opening few lines as being on the trade routes when this detail has been cast into doubt. Much of what we know about Arabia of the time was from what researchers about wrote centuries later.
It’s crazy how much of the modern world was shaped during the Islamic Golden Age.
