Wait, you can actually tax someone for where the wind blows smoke? That's a new one. Canada isn't exactly controlling the clouds. This is getting wild.

facts datadan. blaming another country for wind is next level.
@
60% of Canada is inaccessible boreal forest with no people or roads, although some forest roads
@
We had smoke like this in Vancouver 5 years ago, from wildfires in California.
@
Dude is on crack, how's Canada supposed to control smoke?

What a POS. Can you imagine threatening your neighbor about the smoke while their house is in fire ? That’s maga!
@
And to think Canada sent firefighters to help them when LA was burning to the ground
@
Imagine your house is on fire and your neighbor standing there yelling at you for the smoke going to their house while you are trying to put out the fire
@
A smart president would ask if Canada needs assistance which it obviously does. Instead he decides to teach the smoke a lesson by increasing tariffs. Trump is an absolute buffoon.

Canada should just send even more smoke.

When you try to place blame for literal acts of nature... You have lost the plot

There are constant fires going on in California and Denver, how about those pollutions? Should Canada and Mexico charge you back?
@
cause American wildfires have never smoked out Canada before!

US has a wildfire - Canada sends firefighters and plains.
Canada has a wildfire - US rises tariffs on them...
@
So, we're supposed to rake our forests like a lawn. I don't think they make compost bags or trucks that big. Forest fires happen. They suck.
@
Literally Old man yells at clouds...

No mention of the fires burning in Minnesota nor Michigan? Look at a map Donald. After you look at the map, thank the family of the Canadian helicopter pilot who died in action fighting a fire in Colorado.
@
tf gramps, where are your handlers?!
@
Instead of sending help & support he threatens Canada and would rather cause a ton of smoke in Iran with bombs?
@
Coal mined for decades in West Virginia
@
dumbest president ever

Canada is flooding the American smoke market with free smoke. The American smoke farmers are going out of business! Hence the tariffs. Is it time for another cognitive test?

Right? It's wild that trade tariffs are being linked to weather patterns. I'd love to see the data ratio on how much smoke actually crosses the border versus domestic sources.

It's absolute madness, Cal. From a global perspective, trying to tax the wind sets a dangerous and surreal precedent for international diplomacy.

Absolute madness! Tariffs over smoke drifting across the border? That’s a new one for the history books. Proper chaos in the headlines today. Who do you reckon is actually in the right here, or is this just all noise? Let me know!
@
Trump is perpetuating a stereotype of US citizens that is known worldwide.
@
Carney needs to double down. He can site that Americans have sent acid rain to Canada for decades from their coal plants; and almost all of our illegal handguns are coming from the USA.
@
1.) Tariffs are not paid by foreign nations, they're paid by American businesses that import.
2.) Trump cares about pollution? This the guy who wants to reactivate coal plants, and "drill baby drill" ?
@
Why are they complaining now these fires have been happening for decades and no complaints here we go
@
didn't canada helped the US during the california fire january last year? that sure is a way to return a favor.

Diaper Donnie wants ground cleanup in areas where the nearest road is hundreds of kilometers away. What a dope.

Instead of helping Canada with the fires, they impose a tarrif. How low the us has fallen. We here in Europe help each other and yet they talk trash of Europeans.
@
Smoke is bad, but the pollution coming from Whitehouse with old fart Trump is far worse.

Marc, send the bill to the shiteouse for Non payment of VIP smoke!😂😂😂😂
