The cultural side of this is so underrated. Sitting on the Silk Road, blending Greek and Persian influences, watching Euripides while dressed like Persian nobility that’s such a unique mix. It’s not just a military story, it’s a cultural bridge between worlds. And the architectural legacy too domes and Iwans shaping what we still associate with Iranian architecture today. It’s crazy how much of their influence survived even though their name didn’t.

Reminds me of Behiston rock and the guy with the pointy hat Darius added at the end of the Skunkha, was a high-stakes campaign fought in 519 BC(the third year of Darius I’s reign) against the Saka tigrakhauda—a Scythian tribe from Central Asia whose name literally means "Saka with pointed hats".

Our history is absolutely insane! Our modern world and borders and ethnicities have been shaped by all these rulers and wars. Great storytelling by the way. Looking forward to more such videos! Really love the video quality.

Seven Parthian noble houses collaborated with newcomer Sassanids and hold different region of empire as their small fiefdoms under Sassanid King/emperor and even mixed with Sassanid royal house. One cadet house of Parthians ruled several centuries as royal house of Armenia. This house name was Arshakuni similar to Iranian dynasty of Ashkani (Arashkani).

Why do the Parthians have glasses??!!
Is it because it makes them appear more distinguishable?!! 😆😅😂
@
It was very excellent and informative. Thank you very much. I wish the Parthians had not fallen. They were the best empire in the history of Iran after the Achaemenids. 1- Achaemenids 2- Parthians 3- Medes

Parthians and Sassanids were the only Empires who bested both Roman Heavy infantry and Nomadic Steppe Cavalry !

The Parthians, one of the Iranian dynasties, constitute a very important part of our history and identity. They drove the Greco-Macedonians out of Iran.

I like the ancient parthian with glasses on 😂
