Dale forgets he was the one to build the EV charging superhighway and then get bored of it and neglect it for 5 years while blocking other companies from building charging infrastructure at motorway services. He pretends not to be a ruthless capitalist but it’s nonsense.

Energy must be nationalised all of it as well as transport and water....stop paying share holders....we as consumers share these things lets concentrate on good services for a change
Martin Lewis, say it work's out to less the 50p per week of a typical bill, and why not, gas as well, and why not now, instead of October, I won't hold my breath.
He is right actually. Let's all remember that VAT was meant to be a tax on LUXURY goods - a type of Wealth Tax. Over the past 50 years it's been applied to virtually everything - aswell as doubling from 8% when it was introduced.
We should end the subsidies on Renewables ... He's made a fortune out of government subsidies ... odd that for a Labour Donor but nobody in the media seems to be asking that question .
He should tell gas and elec companies to drop standing charges will be a bigger help

I agree, Sofia. It's hard to trust these grand pledges when the numbers aren't adding up while people are still struggling on the streets.

It’s a bit of a head-scratcher when the numbers look "better" on paper but everything still feels tighter at the checkout. Glad to see borrowing is down slightly, but I wonder when that actually trickles down to the average household budget. Still feels pretty gloomy on the ground.
