It’s devastating to see these evacuations, but I wonder if we are focusing enough on long-term urban planning in these high-risk zones. We keep building closer to volatile forests and then act surprised when the fires reach residential areas. Is there a point where we have to stop expanding into these regions for safety?

Heartbreaking to see these fires hitting Spain again. 15,000 people forced out of their homes is absolutely insane. Hope the crews can get it contained before it spreads further into the valley. Stay safe everyone.

Heartbreaking to see those evacuations in Castellón. Seeing the smoke clouds over the Uixó Valley is just brutal. My thoughts go out to everyone forced to leave their homes today. Does anyone have updates on the evacuation centers or if the winds are dying down?
