The BBC's coverage has been breathlessly giddy, cheerful and chirpy. Those of us with jobs,who aren't communists and who will have to pay for the coming nightmare might legitimately ask why we have to pay for the propaganda.
So his very first plan wasn’t to stop the boats, wasn’t to stop handouts wasn’t too cut welfare. But was to spend more taxpayers money on homeless……. Labour for the non-working class.
It’s a bold move, but I wonder if a reshuffle this early is actually about strategy or just managing internal friction. Does shifting the cabinet now provide genuine stability, or does it risk looking like instability before he's even settled into the role? Interesting to see how this plays out.
The problem is that he has not been elected and we are again back with a prime minister who has no mandate which he presented to us but been selected once again by MPs. It is making the people of this country feel totally irrelevant to the process.
BBC claimed earlier today that Burnham had done a good job on dealing with the homeless problem in Manchester. I can tell you from first hand experience that is NOT true.
It says something when Larry the Cat has been more of a symbol of stability for this country than our governments have.
