My Nan had 400k saved

They took 4k a month until she has 27k remaining.

It's a massive shame but what can you do.

The NHS will collapse under the weight of it's outsourced bureaucracy started by Labour.

It’s not the hope that gets you, it’s the betrayal

19th century? Try 20th. NHS wasn't founded until 1948, before that no pay no treatment.

In the US you would may well have to sell your house to pay for significant health care, such as cancer. It is very common to see people do a Go Fund Me to ask for donations. The biggest cause of bankruptcy in the US is medical debt. Whatever you can do to protect the NHS is vital!
@
If Palantir is involved in any contracts with the UK it will be a disaster. They can’t be trusted! Stay away from any US contracts currently, they are on a world distraction plan for the gains of the oligarchs. Be very careful and think before acting!

All polititicians money should be cut in half so that's a 50 % reduction. All House of Lords same and no freebies.
@
AB was part of Blair & Brown's government that brought in the appalling PFI schemes for privatisation of hospitals. Blair & his mates have made £millions from the contracts the NHS is paying £millions every yr for the privilege 😡

We're still as hopelessly sycophantic as ever to the vile US regime. I heard the words of Wesley Streeting from yesterday praising Trump and how he has "shaken us into action". Bleh. What has this country become? A spineless jellyfish while we get trampled all over.

Care homes are a racket, run for a profit by wealthy, private corporation s and individuals, with running.costs.cut to the bone - poor conditions, poor diet, untrained, low paid staff. Avoid them if at all possible! Social care should be free.

You only get penalised if you have a little bit of money. Those who have a lot of money, they get to dodge everything including the laws that govern the rest of us if they are in the right circles

TAX WEALTH NOT WORK ✊️🇬🇧

Same Andy who wrote up the shortlist for the handing over of NHS hospitals to the private sector
Hinchinbrooke Circle anyone?
Wakey wakey

Allowing US corporations to run the NHS is a big problem, Palantir and Trump making the UK pay more for medicine, Starmer licking Trump's boots

Closing tax loopholes has to be a priority. This isn’t even a tax raise, it’s just stopping people finding ways to not pay it and generating that income

There are American cooperations with NHS contracts. I guarantee that's where all the funding is being diverted, get them out of the NHS and out of the lobbying.

The US averages 500,000 healthcare related bankruptcies every year. Healthcare for profit is evil, which is why right wingers are desperate to bring it here.

About 7 for me. End second jobs for MPs and big donations to MPs and parties.

I recently (6 weeks ago) mis-stepped, thinking the last step of the staircase, which it wasn't , I tore off three tendons , the patella and both of the tendons on both sides of my kneecap. I'm a pretty athletic guy by the way. I go to a physical job, so I'm pretty strong. Thanks to the NHS, they were able to restore my tendons back to normality, more or less.
Now if it wasnt for NHS, I would never be able to afford the hospital bills. I'd be without a job, probably homeless, and 9 out of 10 I promise you I'd commit suicide. Not just from depression but to not weigh down others money-wise.
I'm returning to work next week thank the gods!
NHS is vital to everyone's survival. Let us not end up like America, which is akin to South Africa. Not just racially speaking, but what a dead end place that country is.
