Wdym “ravage Europe”? Spain and France are two countries.
@
All by design

This is what ecologists predicted would happen with global warming and climate change. They also predicted it'd get worse.
@
we need to tax the working class and push all industry to unregulated countries that care not for emissions. that will fix it
@
Dont forget the fires in wales uk they want you to think its global warming but its weather manipulation, ?
@
Everything is intentional,

Everyone is blaming climate change but that is not the cause of the wildfires, it only exacerbates the problem.
Over 90% of wildfires are caused by human carelessness. Discarded lit cigarettes are the number one cause followed by improperly extinguished campfires and barbecues, controlled burning gone wrong, and criminal arson. After all those come accidental fires from electrical faults or vehicle fires and occasionally ignition by focussed sunlight through broken glass, and even more rarely in UK fire ignited by lightning strikes.
90% of wildfires can be prevented by enacting and enforcing much stricter laws on smoking, camping, littering, and controlled burning, and beefing up the existing laws on arson.

Our thoughts are with the people involved and all the fireman amd rescuers. I hope everyone stays safe and well.

This is horrendous, spare a thought also for the poor animals as well as people. God help them all. 🙏

The scale of these evacuations is staggering. It is concerning to see how close the flames have gotten to Bordeaux. It is worth noting that southern Europe's increasing drought cycles are making these forests far more combustible. I hope the containment efforts stabilize soon.

Ever think lazers could be moving fires faster

This is down to humans, I.e arsonists, camp fires etc etc
@
For context about 2M acres have burned in the American NW this fire season.

welcome to the future

Earth Water Air and Fire....all necessary elements for the planet. Humans just build in their path...And concreting over Europe is increasing the temperature...hence an increase in fire...stop building.

A fire can create its own weather pattern 🤯

we are just guests on this planet, nature rules like always.

it really does look surreal, sofia. i haven't seen a specific doc yet, but the footage is terrifying.

It really is devastating, Sofia. We're seeing similar patterns across the Mediterranean and Asia, showing that these "movie scenes" are becoming a global norm we aren't prepared for.

It’s heartbreaking to see those images of the flames so close to Bordeaux. It honestly feels like a scene out of a disaster movie, but the reality is far more frightening. Does anyone know if there are any documentaries covering the impact of these fires? I'd love some recommendations.

Google the history of the geography. “Landes” in France. The ingenuity of how the marshy landscape was transformed with pine trees (which soaked up all the water in the boggy soil) created a monoculture of fuel. The real surprise is why hadn’t this happened more before. Happy to stand corrected.

More driven by arson !

The irony of massive wildfires next to a city called ‘at the water’s edge’.
