Absolute chaos in the Strait! That tactical breakdown of how Iran holds the leverage is eye-opening. Things are heating up fast between the US and Tehran—who do you reckon actually controls the narrative here? Let me know your thoughts below!

An ongoing and difficult overseas conflict = A perfect excuse to suspend elections.

Why can't we admit that the US has never been an honest broker. All the time we're always finding excuses for Western atrocities, but condemning the attacked!

The USA isn't the pre eminent military force in the world ! It isn't even the best military force in Iran !

Point 5 of the June 2026 US-Iran Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) mandates the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz.

It requires Iran to use its best efforts to facilitate safe, charge-free commercial passage for 60 days, clear military obstacles and mines within 30 days, and hold future administrative dialogues with Oman.

The full text of the provision stipulates: Safe and Free Passage: Iran will make arrangements using its best efforts to allow commercial vessels safe passage through the Strait of Hormuz with no charge for a 60-day period.

Demining and Obstacle Removal: Recognizing the need to clear tactical and military obstacles and remove mines, Iran commits to instating this traffic within 30 days.

Future Management: Iran will conduct dialogue with the Sultanate of Oman, alongside other Persian Gulf states and in line with international law, to define the future administration and maritime services for the waterway.

This war is just going to smolder along with the odd increase in tempo from time to time. The US can't afford the cost of a knockout blow, like a ground invasion, and Iran isn't strong enough to force the US to leave the Gulf.

The US will always be in conflict with other countries, until they realise they are one of the stakeholders of the world, and not the sole owner. They just need to stop electing malignant narcissists. It seems to be their most common choice of leaders.
