End of an era, I suppose. He certainly knew how to pivot his positions faster than anyone else in the Senate. Wonder who fills the void for the "strongman" wing of the party now?

It’s always a bit sobering to see such a long career come to an end so abruptly. Regardless of where people stood with him, he certainly left his mark on the landscape of DC. I wonder what the transition of power in his seat will look like now? Wishing peace to those closest to him this morning.
