The scale of habitat loss in Kalimantan is sobering. It is concerning that corporate interests continue to outweigh biodiversity. Interestingly, orangutans share about 97% of their DNA with humans, which makes the loss of their environment feel even more personal. I hope these local preservation efforts receive more international funding.

Typical. One minute it's all threats and fireworks, next it's a "strategic pause." I’ve seen this script before. Diplomacy is just a fancy word for waiting until the other side blinks or someone changes their mind. I'll believe it's settled when the missiles actually stay in the silos. Give it a week.
