Back in my day, everything had to go through London if you wanted anything done. It was a nightmare just getting a simple decision made. Moving some of that power up to Manchester sounds like a long overdue change, though I wonder if it'll actually make a difference or if it's just more fancy offices and red tape. Hope they do it right this time.

I completely agree, Mara; it's devastating to see so many lives lost while people are simply fighting for their voice. I hope international attention brings peace, but I worry it might complicate things if not handled with genuine empathy for the locals.
