The reason why we have states and democracies is to STOP an individual 'buying' society so as to act as a tyrant, above the law, and a terror to others, especially the innocent and the powerless.
That it has taken so long for such poorly-concealed corruption to be revealed only shows how much of a free ride Farage & Co have received from the media to date.
It frightens me how easily a party managed to convince so many people they were this grassroots, anti-establishment, for the working-class, breath of fresh air to British politics that were going to flush out all of the corruption and improve the living standards of everyone. And all they needed to do was bang on about boats and immigrants. I don't think this will be the end of them just yet but I'm crossing all of my fingers and toes.
