I can honestly see why some cultures think that the fat is the β€œmost nutritious” or β€œbest” part. For most of human history, labour was hard and food was scarce. Fat being nearly twice as calorie-dense as protein or carbs makes it the prize part of the meat when your focus is on eating the most calories. Fatty meat products like liver and marrow were also prized, and they genuinely ARE extremely nutrient-dense. Fat also just tastes amazing with very little seasoning.

So rather than posting tiny little mocking snippets that make other cultures look stupid, why don’t we include information like this when we post something?

Yup, I know it’s from a longer documentary, because I (unlike most) took the time to read the small print, i.e, the description. But it’s well that most people who choose to scroll tiny, passing, short videos, do not take the time to do that. And if anybody knows that, it’s the literal BBC who posted it. They will have in depth analytic information telling them so. And they know how this short snippet comes across. It’s meant to make the black man and woman look silly in order to garner more views.

Well, as I am the first comment on this video, hopefully I can

You only have to look at how many people are adopting this way of life and coming across no side affects apart from positive things

Can the BBC really not find a presenter who can speak clear, accent-free English? Is Estuarine now compulsory?

People are morons. Good luck with democracy.

Stacey Dooley is a strange one. She’s from Luton. About a decade ago she famously made a video about how her hometown is anything but traditionally British. What I never understood about her was why she hasn’t publicly made it clear her stance on this. If my town was, in more or less a single generation, demographically replaced, I might pipe up a bit! πŸ™‹β™‚οΈ

Don’t knock it until you try it, I was one of those who didn’t listen and never believed in the carnival diet, now it’s a god send, I’m not saying it’s for everyone but trying for a couple of months at least

What happens if you only drink water? Only bread? Only lettuce? What happens if you only watch BBC? What happens if you only ask stupid questions?
@
You end up with gout with a diet made of predominantly meat. It’s bollocks and who on earth could afford it?
@
Total BS. Irrespective of the diet you're talking about, even your format is BS. Effectively, you just executed a faulty scientific experiment.

Two doctors, completely meaningless. You could have found two doctors who are proponents of keto diets, two who are proponents of vegetarian diets, and two who are proponents of super-low-carb diets. This is nothing more than an abundance of caution. These two doctors just said, "Don't change anything in your life. We can't support anything that causes change."

They trotted out a couple more things: fiber, which is such a trope that it's just tiring, and LDL. LDL indicates certain things under certain diets. Guess what? LDL indicates different things under different diets, and it also indicates different things under all kinds of other health and body conditions. We have all kinds of different types of diabetes, even type 2.

Anyway, this was a complete waste of time, as I suspected it would be. I'm always puzzled that no one asked the question. The interviewer could have asked the doctors what would be required for them to change their minds. If they effectively said, "Nothing will change our minds," that might have been useful informati

Collagen in whole animal foods break down and ferment in the gut in a way that can act functionally similar to fibre. Yes it's not the same thing, but who are these quacks speaking on an official documentary when you can just Google the fundamental points raised? You can literally look up studies, but agreed you definitely want to mix veg and fruit. But an apples and oranges argument as eating dairy and meat only is going to be way better than people who just eat junk food, UPF and low quality ultra refined carbs. Which is statistically most people's diet - It's a bit of a strawman argument. I'd say just don't eat UPF is the main thing you need to do to get healthy... You can have a "balanced" diet packed full of UPFs and ultra refined products. To say that you shouldn't eat completely natural foods only (which this diet is) and that it's worse than other diets like these is just stupid.

The show doctors haven't studied nutrition, nor conducted any studies. They've learnt the drug company sponsored general practice education.

"There are two kinds of Doctor: those who go Vegan and those who have yet to read the literature."

Looksmaxing people be maxing greens.

Humans are omnivores, not carnivore. We need fibre, vitamins and minerals from a wide range of foods.
The only foods proven to be best avoided are ultra processed, high fat, high sugar foods.
But, if he's happy good for him, but I doubt he's healthier than everyone else and it's a boring way to live. I'd be craving broccoli and bananas after a week.

I find it hard to not think of owl pellets.

Everyone is different. Some eat healthy and exercise and develop cancer. Some smoke cigars and live to 100. Genes are a very critical factor. For most of us, we need a lot of veggies and some meat. You don't want to bet on yourself to be the lucky few.

I agree, June; those archives highlight a distinct commitment to quality. Interestingly, the BBC was the first to introduce a regular news service in 1922.

This one is absolutely grippingβ€”the way those initial clues start to contradict each other really keeps you guessing. I'm already theorizing about the evidence. Do you think it was a clear-cut case from the start, or did the police miss something?
