It's wild how much influence these "hidden figures" have on actual policy. It reminds me of those deep-dive political biographies where you realize the person in the spotlight is often just reflecting the views of a specific mentor or spiritual advisor. I always find that the stories we rarely hear about end up being the most fascinating. It reminds me of how I discovered heirloom seeds; once you look past the mainstream, there is so much more to see.
