Wallace & Gromit has some of the most overlooked scores Iโ€™ve ever seen. The music does a lot for creating the atmosphere, and Julian Nott has done a cracking job over the years. If only the scores were released on CD. I wish the main theme still had that clarinet solo from a Grand Day Out.

The Wallace and Gromit music is amazing. Every episode. And The Curse of the Were-Rabbit is my favourite film of all time.
@
I always LOVED the soundtrack as a kid! Brilliantly written.
@
This movie made my childhood memorable. I have lots of memory watching these movies as a kid. I love both the movie and the music, both phenomenal.
@
I love the Wallace And Gromit scores and I've often felt Julian Nott has been overlooked/underrated as a composer. It'd be great if his scores for the short films got an official release at some point.

A most interesting interview. Thank you!
@
I think one reason the train chase scene goes so hard in The Wrong Trousers is because of the amazing music accompanying it. Thank you Julian Nott!
Edit: ohhh the music when Gromit leaves in TWT is heartbreaking and makes me cry every time - genius.
@
Still doesn't seem to be any recording of the train chase piece without sound effects over it. A real shame.

As a W&G fan, I've been hoping for an interview like this for years! Thank you Classic FM and Julian Nott for sharing this. ๐Ÿง€

If only Julian Nott released the entire soundtracks for every Wallace & Gromit movie (except for The Curse Of The Were-Rabbit, because that has its soundtrack released on CD before) unedited and from the original master reels where available. Just like how the 1987 DuckTales had its music put out on CD recently.

The music couldnโ€™t be more perfect
@
Wallace and Gromit is great stuff.
@
The sheer amount of joy and delight this brought to my childhood.
@
If only these scores would get a full official release someday...
@
Really admire Julian, an awesome composer. The Wrong Trousers is my top favorite stop-motion animated film. The music in that is very epic, ominous and threatening.
@
Not gonna lie, the scene with Gromit in his little plane with that score, is the greatest moment i British Cinema
@
Some of the best music just ever
@
It sounds distinctively British!
@
The train chase is one of the best pieces of music ever written!
