Something worth considering: Along with Labour being willing to lie to the public, they've also shown that they're willing to u-turn on popular policies once they've gotten their votes (Starmer dumped a lot of progressive policies after winning the last GE, it's partly why he's so unpopular). If Labour approach you about this, say they're going to put wealth inequality front and centre, you put your weight behind them and they win next month, then they dump the wealth inequality plans, it'll be detrimental to your platform as you told people to vote for a party that actively lies about policies. It'll also be detrimental to the Greens, it'll show that they're still a fringe party and have no serious chance of winning a GE. There's also the risk of Labour half-arsing it intentionally, bringing in policies that are labelled as Wealth Equality policies, but have intentional gaping holes that allow their wealthy backers to jump through. This will tarnish everything you've been working towards, the messaging in traditional media will be "Well, Labour tried that and it didn't work". It feels like the Greens are a lot more likely to follow through on wealth inequality policies, they may h
Mate, I have been a Labour member in two countries. Then, I watched New Zealand Labour go from the biggest majority ever -to opposition under the most craven, corrupt, right-wing coalition this country has ever seen. There's a few reasons for that, (morons not understanding global post covid inflation, media bias, dirty politics etc, etc) but the main one that struck me was that centre-left complacency and inability to seize their chance to seriously address the oligarchy that's fucking the world, and by extension the lives of most Kiwis. So. Fuck 'em. The stakes are too high, there's no time for business as usual in a time of populist global facism and the impending feudal system 2.0. I'm Green now baby, Green AF. Best of luck Gary, love your work.
The 'centre' in the uk is neoliberal. Neoliberalism is RIGHT wing. This is why labour attack the left as their defacto outlook. Neoliberalism at its core aims to protect entrenched power, big business and individualism over society.
The fact that only Zac called you up and the rest were too arrogant/blinkered/ignorant makes me feel that I wouldn't trust anyone else with running the country. Even if they call you now, it's too late. Apart from the Greens, they've all shown that they're not interested in these issues, and even if they are forced to eventually become interested, they don't have the wits to run the country. This is not some small issue for the country. Clearly only one party is taking it seriously.
The "centre" is dying because it made promises to the people but failed to deliver because ultimately it believes in the status quo. Also it never had real control, as always people with the real money have that.
Did you know that Peter Magyar and his govt. will introduce a 1% annual Wealth TAX for the super Rich!!! Democracy is also eroding because of the billionaires backing political parties!!!
I'm in NYC and Zohran Mamdani ran as a Democratic Socialist for the mayor and beat Andrew Cuomo, the Democratic candidate and former Governor. I see this trend happening more
Labour has no intention to seriously address inequality. That is clear.

Peoole are walking away, in part, rightly because of the messaging of yourself and others.
Polanski is preaching, calmly, and reasonably, that inequality is the defining issue of this age, and is the only one willing to do anything about it.
When your deadline comes up, you'll be recommending the Green vote.
To think it will be anything else, is naive.
