Argentina were playing for shootouts from beginning in final. So the play from their square trying to defend. Remember exactly replica of final agst Germany in 2014 when Mario Goetze chested a goal in extra time agst Argentina.

❤ Spain.. from Indonesia

Congrats, Spain!

Congrats Spain. Iniesta made me fall in love with Spanish football. Well deserved win in both 2026 and 2010.
Been to Madrid and Salamanca before, probably will visit the country again soon.

I have no interest in football, but the Spanish team are my current heroes for defeating the cheating scu* from Argentina. I reckon Argentina spent a lot on bribes to some of the referees to get them to ignore blatant fouls. 2026 might go down in sporting history as the beginning of the end of a once proud international competition. FIFA is crooked. Many players are no longer sportsman-like. Referees are more biased. The actual football is almost sidelined. RIP World Cup.

Bibi was a bad juju...

In a 2018 Diego Maradona stated that the United States would want to divide the matches into four quarters to be able to play more ads... Guess he was right

The header assist was magnificent!

Well done. Thank you Spain. Football is an art. Cheers from South America.

This is heavy stuff, but the way DW breaks down these geopolitical tensions makes it feel like a high-stakes political thriller. It's genuinely worrying to see things escalate this quickly. Do you think we're heading toward a total shift in the region, or is this mostly strategic posturing?

Welcome everyone! It's fascinating how Turkey has used everything from new airline routes to infrastructure to build these ties across Africa. I hadn't realized how strategic their approach has been over the last two decades. Do you think this shift changes the traditional power dynamics in the region?
