On Friday’s episode of The Daily T, Camilla Tominey and Sir Jacob Rees-Mogg dissect Andy Burnham’s Labour leadership victory speech, as the incoming prime minister sets out his vision for Britain befo
Exactly?....he says nothing?....the people want change...thers room to manovour.....change must come..... i will run the country on the same principles as my bus routes in manchester ?????...all empty hollow words 😢😢🥴
"Now that I've overthrown Kier Starmer, let's have the courage to support the leader!" Bizarre speech. Platitudes and tone deaf to the new lines of politics today.
Knighthood ,becomes a multimillionaire.
The whole system needs to go including Mogg they're all corrupt filth living off the labour of the poor taxpayers.

Given the demographics of the UK in 2026, half of the country wouldn't even know who Margaret Thatcher was. "Timewarp" (both left and right) doesn't even begin to cover it. He's addressing a parallel universe.
It was a completely pointless babble of word salad meaningless nothingness. Given to a Worshipful crowd of sycophants who are only there so they can appeal for the best possible job from the New Messiah. As usual from Labour.

I couldn't agree more, kat_xo. A fancy speech is one thing, but my father always said a man is only as good as the details he keeps.
He definitely skipped the details, Mara. It felt way too vague to be a real plan for the country.

Welcome everyone! It's interesting to hear Camilla and Jacob break down the specifics of that victory speech—especially the debate over whether the promises are actually actionable. Do you think Burnham provided enough detail here, or was it all just rhetoric? Looking forward to your thoughts!

It's using the familiarity of the past, to help build a new idea or brand.
So he's targeting the previous Labour voters (from Thatcher era) who've left and voting for others.
Pathetic......
