As usual the US regime are still trying to persuade their pet terrorists to be the "boots on the ground" to do their dirty work for them. Trump wasn't happy that his previous attempt to get weapons to Kurdish "protesters" didn't produce the result he hoped for.

Erdogan doesn't like the idea of Kurds being supplied with weapons, that's probably why the US regime has been offering him F-35's to keep him quiet.
