The fact that we have to rely on surveillance footage to get any clarity on these encounters is frustrating. We need a standardized, mandatory body-cam policy for all federal agents involved in field operations to ensure there's an objective record from the start. Until that happens, "official reports" will always feel incomplete.

This is absolutely heartbreaking. It’s one thing to read about these incidents, but seeing the actual footage makes it feel so much more visceral. I can't imagine what his family is going through right now. Do we know if there has been any official word on whether the body cam footage will be released too?
