US stocks ended mixed, with the Dow gaining just under half a percent, the S&P 500 virtually flat and the tech-heavy Nasdaq sliding nearly two-thirds of a percent.
The Nasdaq sliding nearly 0.67% while the Dow climbs is a telling divergence. I'm wondering what the actual capex-to-revenue ratio for these AI plays needs to be before the market stops panicking about the spend. Does Reuters have the specific breakdown on the projected spend vs. realized returns?

It's less of a bubble and more of a very expensive fever dream, Cal. I'm backing whoever remembers how to make a profit without mentioning "synergy.

Tough day for the Nasdaq! That anxiety over AI spending is really shaking things up before these earnings reports hit. Do we think the market is overreacting, or is the bubble finally feeling the pressure? Who are you backing to bounce back first?
