Mourners gathered in Stellenbosch to remember South African midfielder Jayden Adams, who featured in all three of his side's group stage games at the 2026 World Cup.
Heartbreaking stuff. It’s wild how we only really get to know these athletes once they're gone or hitting the world stage. Hope the family is holding up okay, but I wonder if the league is actually doing anything to support the players left behind? Stay strong, SA.

Such a heartbreaking loss for South African football. He had so much potential after that World Cup run. Maybe the league could establish a foundation or a youth scholarship in his name to keep his legacy alive and inspire the next generation of midfielders?

Heartbreaking to see the community come together for Jayden. He played with so much heart in every single group game at the World Cup—a real legend on the pitch. Who else remembers that standout performance he put in?
