One of my best friends moved to Malaysia with his wife and after she died of brain cancer. He died of a massive heart attack just over seven days after that. It was so shocking because I was in touch with him regularly and he was making plans. But the day before he passed he traveled to her grave. Oh I get teary eyes when I remember that.

I lost my second son on June 12. He was only 31 and died in his sleep from a stroke. It's definitely much worse than losing any other loved one. You expect to outlive your parents. You can always find new romantic love. But lose your kid and it's not a mere broken heart;it's a heart that's been disemboweled.

When your heart is broken, you certainly donโ€™t want to do absolutely anything
@
I know how it rewired my brain๐Ÿ˜ข 4yrs and counting, have never been the same

Dr. Brown is a remarkably kind scientist. Grief can be so profound that, even when you know how to find your way back to yourself and even when youโ€™re logical and resilient, it can still leave you feeling lost. My heart truly goes out to her. I feel her loss and her pain.โค

It's about time somebody started talking about a broken heart from the EMOTIONAL side of heartbreak.

Ive been heartbroken for 5 years and now have clinical major depression

They say that heartbreak is felt more intensely than the loss of a loved one. When your spouse passes away... well, it's the natural order of things. When your loved one betrays you and throws away like trash after years of marriage... that's way more painful. Death is not as cruel as betrayal ๐Ÿ˜ข

Seeing what people around me going through after breakup makes me want to never enter a relationship.
@
Listen to love songs after a breakup? Yes lets throw more fuel on the fire

What's more beautiful than giving your partner your brain scans as a gift of your love. A literal proof. โคโค

My only advice that actually worked when my heart was shattered is change..if you keep your mind in a familiar space the neurological attachment will remain , change the room, cut your hair, wear different clothes even a new mug will make a difference ,try to grieve outside the home and in specific times to make sure the sadness takes a direction you control and doesnโ€™t become the whole universeโ€ฆand at the end you need to remember the cost of keeping a bad partner around is actually higher than what youโ€™re paying now..
@
I'd rather adjust to your absence than being constantly frustrated with your presence.
@
I've been broken and rewired so many times I feel barely human some days
@
My grandfather died from a "broken heart" ...

Grief is indeed the price of love.

It's been 2ยฝ yrs since me and my ex broke up, we have a child so we have to have some sort of contact and it's still very very hard sometimes emotionally

This world is built on struggle. From the day we are born until the day we die, suffering is part of life. Before creating a new life, we should think carefully about what kind of world we are bringing them into.
