Every founder is being told to build an AI company. Alex Hormozi says almost all of them will be gone within months, that the best move is the exact opposite of what the market is saying, and that in
I have listened to Alex over the years and this was the first time I heard a softer less confident side that made him a bit more human :) Thanks for getting there Steven. You have a true talent for humanizing these highly influential figures. Another thing I just have to say as a fellow entrepreneur is to never forget the survivorship bias of all these people including Steven. The majority of us running small businesses are working super hard, but simply have not had the good fortune of the stars aligning to reach 1M+, 10M or more a year and that is okay. We can still learn, but we don't need to compare, shame or get depressed about where we are on our own journey. Happiness is a byproduct of a well lived and "rich" life in the sense of lots of love and human connection not a bunch of checkboxes on a score card. - Wrote this for myself, but I hope it helps others deep in the entrepreneurial journey or even thinking of embarking on one.
22:14 Exacty that is my “fear” - to be responsible to make sure my employees have a safe job and of course I want to pay them fair which would add pressure to perform. Of course that’s a part of business but overwhelming when starting out, fumbling with shaking hands on a rough business plan at the moment , feeding it the numbers the POC revealed. Other than that I document all SOPs of what I do and what my husband does to have an easier understanding of the “combination of unicorn-parts” we need to onboard and when. The “when” is a hire needed - that’s such a challenge. Not to wait too long and risk burnout- not to start too big and stall or even have to fire. First time real business questions 😂
For small & micro businesses, AI is about solving the contextual bottlenecks.
This is going to be a fabulous watch, not just for AI, but for the life lessons. Thanks, Steven.
If your working to never experience fear and uncertainty again you will fail. Life isn't about surviving it's about overcoming.
Instead of building a safe space that can never true be safe build the you that can overcome adversity.
My father got sick and died and my son had a mental health crisis the same month I was presented with an amazing opportunity to acquire my own business. I had to stay strong and be there for my family and myself it was tough. I suppose I became stoic more than anything to get through. My son is doing great now, business is good, yet my peers are expecting me to break down, to hit a wall, to literally explode with repressed grief and stress, but I don't feel the need to. I'm solid. My father would have wanted me to stay strong, positive, and keep forward motion. I'm so excited for life.
I'd add one thing: technology lowers the cost of creating content, but it doesn't lower the cost of earning trust. That still has to be built over time.

Hormozi is spot on about the AI gold rush. Everyone is pivoting just because it's trendy, but ignoring fundamentals for a buzzword is a recipe for bankruptcy. Better to dominate a boring niche than be the 1,000th mediocre AI wrapper.

Spot on, Theo. It really makes me wonder how many people are risking everything just to follow a trend without considering the long-term fallout.

Hormozi dropping truth bombs on the AI hype train! It’s like watching someone find a hidden cheat code while everyone else is just mashing buttons. Going against the grain takes guts, but that's how you hit the high score. Do you think he's right, or is ignoring AI a losing move?
