Amazing Game. Disappointing that we couldn't do this against Argentina. Its amazing what you can do when you feel like you have nothing to loose I guess. Well done England!
Watching this again after seeing highlights of the crap final by Argentina. What a difference a free flowing open game of wonderful football. Both teams will have been devastated by the manner in both teams semi final losses. But after France woke up and decided to give the game a go in the second half we were served up a treat. The final that should have been . No disrespect to Spain who were worthy winners but Argentina should have been packed off and sent home in disgrace they were a terrible advert for world football. Violence, intimidation of officials, nasty tackles trying to damage opposition players legs. Utterly negative and during normal play no shots or attempts on goal for 90 minutes. Playing for penalties was pathetic. Then watched this game again to lift my spirits about how football should be played. Let’s hope Argentina get heavily fined and players banned for a few years at international level. Bringing football into disrepute by violent behaviour as they attempted to beat up Spanish players and kick them on the ground and grabbing them around their necks at the end. An absolute joy of a game to watch, compared to the nightmare that is Argentina and the corrupt FIFA agenda. This should have been the final. The Euros are gonna be fun.
Hands up to France for accepting defeat so graciously by congratulating the English players this was far more a better game than the final well done England 🏴
